Steven Reilly Photo A Yale transit bus erupted in flames Monday afternoon.

The driver told police he pulled over on Cedar Street between York and Congress around 3 p.m. after the bus began to experience mechanical difficulties. He ordered everyone out of the bus.

A fire then broke out on the now-empty bus. No one was hurt.

Fire investigators were on the scene seeking to determine the cause.
