Paul Bass Photo Thanks to Superstorm Sandy, you can still register to vote up until 8 p.m. Thursday and still cast a ballot in next Tuesday’s elections.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy extended the deadline through Thursday after the storm closed government offices earlier this week.

In New Haven, you can register in the basement of 200 Orange Street, where a crew of special registrars like Donna Perry are putting in extra hours signing people up. She’s pictured above registering Cesar Rosario and Angie Crespo on Wednesday afternoon.
