Aaron Collins, 74, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016.
He was born in Maryville, Tenn. to the late Jacob Collins and Mary Frances Ross (Frank) Pencial on Aug. 13, 1942. He worked for many years for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation and Sacred Heart Manor of Hamden. He was also the co-pastor of Mt. Zion Temple Pentecostal Church of New Haven.
Aaron leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Aaron (Jeannette) Collins of Hamden and John Collins of New Haven; daughters, Cheryl (Norman) Tappin, Jr. of New Haven and Stephanie (Kenneth) Good of Hamden; sister, Mary Ann (Sylvester) Hopkins of New Haven; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Inspirational Zion Ministries, 141 Grand Ave, New Haven, CT 06513. Friends may call Thursday at the church from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will take place at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven, CT. Services provided by Howard K.
