Alan “Deek” Jones, 69, of New Haven, passed away Tuesday.
He was born in New Haven to the late James J. and Frances Goldson Jones on Oct. 29, 1947. Alan served honorably in the U.S. Army and was employed with CT Carpenters Local 24.
Deek leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Yvonne Howard Jones; daughters, Renee (Bernard) Salters, Dr. Keisha (Anthony) Burfoot, Arletta (Tameil) Gibson, and Janell Jones; brother, James E. Jones; sister, Cynthia (Kleidith) Moreno; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at Christ Chapel New Testament Church, 220 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Monday at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K.
