Belle Hall

Belle T. Hall, 102 of New Haven, CT went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2010. Belle was born September 9, 1907 near Richmond, VA. She has been a resident of Connecticut for over 45 years, having moved to this state with her beloved husband, the late Rev. William Hall. Rev. and Mrs. Hall originally moved to Bristol and then to New Haven in 1945 for their pastorate at the Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church. There, Mother Hall labored, along with her husband, with diligence, devotion, unselfishness and was always an exemplary example of Christian womanhood at its finest. In 1964, the Friendship Baptist Church was founded by Rev. Hall. Under his leadership, the church grew significantly. After Rev. Hall’s passing, Mother Hall remained active in the church by naming one of the choirs, the Hall Celestal Choir. Mrs. Hall was a devoted member of the Daughters of Rachel Ministers Wives and Widows, the CT State Minister’s Wives and Widows and the CT Missionary Baptist Convention Women’s Auxiliary. A celebration of her life will take place Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church, 26 Edwards St, Hamden, 06517. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9 – 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services 1287 Chapel Street New Haven, CT 06511. To leave a message of comfort to the Hall family, please visit www.hkhfuneralservices.com.
