Betty Pertillar, 72, of New Haven, departed this life September 5, 2012.
Born in Little Rock, AR, May 22, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William Tappin, Sr. and Sadie Johnson Tappin.
Prior to retiring, she was employed by Northern Telecom as an Assembler.
Ms. Pertillar is survived by brothers, Lee Carl Tappin and Henry Clay Tappin; grandchildren, Javon Branch and Marlena Agusto; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a son, Richard Agusto and a brother, Billy Tappin.
A celebration of Ms. Pertillar’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
