Beverly Washington, 69, of New Haven, passed away Jan. 31, 2017.
She was born in Charleston, S.C. to the late Willie Carter and Alafairr Washington Carter on April 16, 1947. She retired as a clerk at the Yale Station post office where she was employed for many years.
Beverly leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Glenn Washington; sons, Craig and Travis Washington; daughter, Chanyl Washington; brothers, Jerome Carter, Henry Carter, and Fred (Janice) Carter; sister, Lois (Ocie) Stodghill; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place Feb. 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Feb. 4, 2017 at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Feb. 6, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
