Carleto R. Burton, 72, of West Haven, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016.
He was born in James City County, Va. on March 8, 1945, to the late Cecil and Virginia Burton. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Carleto also worked for many years as a supervisor for Bic Corporation.
Carleto leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Anna Burton; brothers, Cecil (Betty) Burton , Wayne (Suzette) Burton, both of California, Anthony (Rose) Burton of North Carolina, and Walker Burton of New Haven; sister, Michelle Burton of New Haven; uncle, William Burton of Maryland; aunts, Eulalia (Ace) Pettway, Ines Burton, both of Bridgeport, and Hortense Easly of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Helen (Bishop Willie) Jones of Florida; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Georgia) Waiters of South Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Promise Land Church of God, 240 Burwell Rd, West Haven, CT 06516. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Interment will take place at the Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Services provided by Howard K.
