Carolyn Birdine, 55, of New Haven went home to be with the Lord on April 6. Carolyn was born June 20, 1955, in Bethel, N.C., to John and Lillie Doward of Rocky Mount, N.C.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter Keisha Birdine-Ewell (Derrick) of New Haven; brothers Wadie Stanley of New Haven and Jessie James of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister Doris Jean Doward of New Haven; two grandchildren, Sapphire and William Birdine, both of New Haven; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Willie James Birdine, son William Tarvel Birdine, and brother Donald Ray Doward.
A celebration of her life will take place Tuesday, April 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Agape Christian Center, 200 Goffe St., New Haven. Friends may call Tuesday at the church from 9 – 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
