Carolyn Sowell-McKnight, 63, of New Haven born in Ayden, NC on February 23, 1952 to the late Willie McCathern and Mary Lee Evans-McCathern passed away August 16, 2015 YNHH St. Raphael’s Campus.
Mrs. McKnight held a gratifying position as a Home Health Aide for the Masonicare. She will be remembered as a woman of virtue; she was an avid Bible reader and enjoyed gospel music. She was also an Eldress of St. Stephen’s Pentecostal Church. She leaves to cherish her memory Fiance William Suggs, son Jonas (Kanisha) Sowell, sister Geraldine Baker, and grandchildren; Jonas Sowell Jr., Siquan Sowell, Jaevon Sowell, Sanoj Sowell and Omar Henry. A celebration of her life will take place Friday August 21, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Stephen’s Pentecostal Church; 856 Congress Ave., New Haven, CT 06519.
