Christina Suggs, 88, of New Haven, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011.
Born to the late Nelson and Martha Suggs on October 12, 1922 in Edgecombe County, NC. She leaves to cherish her memory; sons Haywood (Dorette) Suggs of West Haven, CT and Hugh (Donna) Suggs of New Haven, CT; daughters, Lillian and Christina Suggs of New Haven, CT and Christine (Charles) Hoggard of Grimesland, NC; sisters, Racheal and Josephine Suggs of Bethel, NC, Martha Highsmith of Bethel, NC and Virginia Ruth Suggs of Brooklyn, NY and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family. She was predeceased by 2 sons, 2 daughters, 1 brother and 6 sisters.
A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 3PM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT with calling hours from 2 – 3PM. Interment is private. Messages of comfort here.
