Craig M. Freeman, 64

Craig M. Freeman, born on August 22, 1950, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Alvin Singleton and Lena Bobbi” Dixon, died unexpectedly on July 10, 2015.

Besides his parents, his memory survives with his children: Sean M. Williams of New Haven, Terrence L. Freeman of Arizona, daughter Carly Nicole Freeman of Washington, DC. He was predeceased by his daughter Michelle M. Silver of New Haven. He is also survived by his brother, Rodney (Barbara) Robinson of West Haven, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Freeman was a retired Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Mr. Freeman provided 15 years of dedicated services as a Lead Organizer with AFSCME International Union. He was also a proud member of several fraternal organizations including East Rock Elks Lodge #141, Omega Psi Phi (Chi Omicron Chapter) and the Widow’s Son Lodge of the Prince Hall Masons.

Friends may call Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 111 Whalley Ave., New Haven from 6 – 9 PM. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Church at 9 AM with visitation from 8 – 9 AM. Interment will be held at Beaverdale Memorial Park; New Haven. Services by Howard K.
