Dolores Files, 75, of New Haven, departed this life June 2, 2010.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, December 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Rogers and Marie Mosco Rogers.
Prior to retiring, she was employed by the New Haven Board of Education as a Cook.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Michelle Jones (Leon), Tracy Files, Linwood Files (Donna) and Neekal Files (Will Johnson); a brother, Thomas Rogers; a sister, Janice Kershaw; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a son, Kent Hilton and a brother, John Rogers, Jr.
A celebration of Ms. Files’ life and legacy will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Online guestbook available at www.curvinkcouncil.com
