Doris Jefferson transitioned to her eternal home on Saturday, April 23, 2016 after a long illness.
She was born December 10, 1934 to the late James D. and Sahra (Smith) Baker in Pittsburg, KY. Doris loved to travel, shop, and spend time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory; one son, Wayne Baker of New Haven; one sister, Josephine Baker-Washburn of KY; three grandchildren, Eraina Baker, Devonne Epps and Isiah Chisolm and five great grandchildren; James Davionne, Zuri’elle, Destinee, and Kalie. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday April 29, 2016 at The New Trinity Temple COGIC, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT at 11am with calling hours from 10 – 11am.
