Earleen M. Pollard Lawhorn, 91, of New Haven, passed away April 17, 2017.
She was born in New Canton, Va. to the late John D. Sr. and Martha B. Fleming Pollard on Sept. 21, 1925. She worked as a secretary with Yale New Haven Hospital and as a private duty nurse.
Earleen leaves to cherish her memory, son, Bruce J. Lawhorn; daughters, Sylvia E. Lawhorn, Constance L. (Anthony) Armstrong, and Michele F. Lawhorn; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, John H. Pollard, William Kenneth Pollard, and John D. Pollard, Jr.; and sisters, Pattie Kirby, Florence Dowden, Mabel Bennett, Catherine Hart and Thelma Miller.
A celebration of life will take place Monday at noon at Dixwell Avenue Congregational United Church of Christ, 217 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511.
