Earline M. Douglas-Thomas, 75

Earline M. Douglas-Thomas, of Villa Rica, GA passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Tanner Hospital.

A native of New Haven, CT, Mrs. Douglas-Thomas (b. April 12, 1940) was the daughter of the late Ella Mae Barrow Douglas and Earl E. Douglas Sr. Earline attended Seventh Day Adventist and local public schools, was a retired employee of the VA Hospital, West Haven, CT and formerly a member of Dixwell Avenue UCC and Immanuel Baptist Church of New Haven, CT before recently relocating to Georgia, where she was an active member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband Clarence Thomas, her four children: Michelle Lewis (Michael) of Villa Rica, GA, Talib Hanif (b. Todd E. Douglas) of Phoenix, AZ, Tracey I. Douglas and Aquilah Shamsid’deen (b. Christine Douglas) of New haven, CT; also her sister Edith Belton of Jonesboro, GA and brother Earl E. Douglas, Jr. (Caroline) of Charlotte, NC; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and close friends. She was predeceased by her son Keith M. Douglas Hall and sister Eleanor C. Douglas Grant.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be sent to Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church. Calling hours will be held 10:00 – 11:00AM and the funeral service at 11:00AM on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall Street, Hamden, CT. Services by Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT.
