Edmond Oliver White

Edmond Oliver White, 68, of New Haven passed away April 14. Edmond was born Oct. 3, 1942, in Sumter, S.C. to the late Edward and Mary (Daniels) White.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife Lucy White; sons Edmond O. White Jr. of Hamden and Ronald Smith of New Haven; daughter Leslie White DePriest (Lyman) of West Haven; brothers Willis White (Sadie) and James White, both of South Carolina, and Mozel White (Roberta) of New Haven; sisters Flossie York, Earline Bradley and Ethel Leaf, all of South Carolina, and Peggy White of New Haven; grandchildren Lyman Jay”, Daesia, Justin, Ronnie Jr., and Syrani; and a host of family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers: Harvey Lee Jones, Ulysses Daniels, David White, Ezell White, Leon White and Johnny White.

A celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, April 19, at 11 a.m at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven. Friends may call Tuesday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
