Ese-Osa Uwuoruya, 8

Ese-Osa Odunayo Uwuoruya, 8, of Quinnipiac Avewas born at 10:30am on February 18, 2005 at Yale New Haven Hospital to loving parents Festus and Kemi Uwuoruya.

Ese-Osa means God’s gift while Odunayo means Year of Joy and she certainly brought much joy to her family during her years on Earth. Ese, as she was affectionately known, was a wonderful child whose smile lit up the room with its warmth and sincerity. She loved to read, play on the computer, play with her dolls and — most of all — loved to play with her beloved little brother, Ehis. So close was their bond that Grandma Amusa called them twins. Ese was a stylish little girl, prone to getting compliments from adults and children alike for her sense of style. Ese-Osa was a sensitive soul and would always wait up for her mother to get home from work so that she could give her a hug before bed — the tighter the hug the better! Ese-Osa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her but they take solace in the knowledge that she is resting in The Lord’s bosom. She is survived by her father, Festus, mother, Kemi, big sister Arese and little brother, Ehis.

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday at 9 AM Church on the Rock 95 Hamilton St. New Haven, CT 06513. Calling hour will be Saturday at church from 8 to 9 AM. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. To leave a message of comfort for the Uwuoruya family, please visit www.hkhfuuneralservices.com
