Evelyn McCray, 74, of New Haven; born, April 16, 1940 to the late Major and Evelyn Lloyd, passed away November 19, 2014, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughters; Vanessa McCray-Page of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Sheilah McCray Fields of New Haven; brothers, Major Lloyd, Carlton Lloyd, and Ricky Lloyd all of North Carolina; and sisters Mabel Carroll of New Haven, Barbara Lloyd, Kay Francis Peele, Carolyn Stancil, Maxine Pittman all of North Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by 2 sons, Alton and Anthony McCray.
A celebration of her life will take place Monday December 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. at The New Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C.; 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation Monday at the Church from 10 – 11 a.m. Entombment will take place at Beaverdale Memorial Park Mausoleum; New Haven, CT.
