Fay Adonogene Hauptmann, 58, of New Haven, departed this life December 3, 2009.
Born in Jamaica, West Indies, March 24, 1951, she was the daughter of Beatrice Roberts Grant and Bertram Schaffe.
Ms. Hauptmann was employed at Goodwill Easter Seals as a Sales Clerk.
In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Wayne Grant (Yvette Cruz); a daughter, Natalie Hauptmann; brothers, Karl Grant and Raymond and Winsome Schaffe; sisters, Valarie Hamilton, Annie Bennett, Jennifer Grant-Fowlin; Calene Grant-Young; and Vanessa McHayle; grandchildren, Amelia and Naomi Grant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl McHayle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 11, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony’s Church, 70 Washington Ave., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 8:00 – 9:15 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
