Florestine E. Ross, 91, of New Haven, departed this life February 11, 2013. She was the widow of Oscar Ross.
Born in New Haven, CT, June 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Perrault and Mabel Carter Perrault.
She is survived by grandsons, Michael Ross (Nicole Pollard-Ross), Ross Mero and Robert Mero; sister-in-law, Ellecia R. Sims (Raymond Sr.) ; nieces, Priscilla Lancaster (Fred) and Angela Brunswick; nephews, Mark C.B Brunswick and James A. Brunswick, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Mero; a son, Anthony Ross; and sisters, Maxine Brunswick and Etta Blue.
She will forever be remembered and leaves to cherish her fond memories by a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Ross’ life and legacy will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Martin de Porres Church, 136 Dixwell Ave., (corner of Webster St.). Burial of cremated remains will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
