Frances Wilson

Frances M. Wilson, of New Haven, passed away on Friday June 18, 2010 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

Born on February 23, 1927 in New Haven, Frances was the daughter of late Jack Perry and Mary Davis Perry. A life-long resident of New Haven, Frances worked for the Board of Education as a Teacher’s Assistant with the Head Start Program. In those twenty yeas she was a positive influence on the many children that entered her classrooms.

Frances is survived by a sister, Dorothy Perry Freeman; a son, Mustafa (Earl) Abdul-salaam, and daughters, JoAnn Wilson and Diane Wilson; five grandchildren, Aquil, Kamal (Nakia), Tara (Milford), Hafeeza (Sundiata), and Nadir; five great grandchildren; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Helen Perry Bosley and Marjorie Burns.

A private funeral and burial was held on Wednesday June 23 2010 at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Professional services were entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.curvinkcouncil.com
