Gladys Bowden, 85, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of New Haven, Connecticut, born on April 20, 1929 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica to the late William Webb and Sophia Thorpe, passed away January 26, 2015 at Peachtree Christian Hospice.
She will be remembered for her love of her children, singing the gospel, traveling, and cooking. She leaves to cherish her memory, nephew Austin Webb of Atlanta, and grandniece Simone Edwards of Chicago, along with a host of family and friends. A celebration of her life will take place Friday, February 6, 2015 at 12 noon at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services; 1287 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511, with visitation Friday from 11 – 12 noon. Interment will take place following the service at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T. Grasso Blvd., New Haven.
