Gwendolyn C. Fitch-Caldwell, “Boom Boom”, 75, of New Haven; born August 10, 1940 in New Haven to the late Collins Fitch and the late Arlene Denby Fitch, passed away November 11, 2015.
Gwendolyn enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles and studying world events including donating to Africa. She was a retired 20 year employee of SNET. Gwendolyn loved her family and leaves to cherish her memory: daughters Michelle and Stephanie Caldwell of New Haven; sons Valdez and Reginald Caldwell of New Haven; daughter-in-law Antoinette Caldwell; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Gwendolyn was predeceased by her son Philip Caldwell. A Celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11 AM at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services; 1287 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation Tuesday from 10 – 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven.
