Harry L. Daniels, 68, of New Haven, departed this life July 17, 2014.
Born in Greenville, NC, August 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Henry and Mable Daniels.
Mr. Daniels was employed for numerous years at Southern Hospitality as a Cook and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by sons, Harry Daniels, Jr. and Harry Lee Daniels; a daughter, Angela Flournoy; a sister, Verna Simms; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
A celebration of Mr. Daniels’ life and legacy will be held Friday, July 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 26 Edwards St., Hamden. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight Dwight St., New Haven. Harry will be greatly missed. He made the best smothered pork chops I have ever eaten!
