Hazel Armstrong-Glasper, 75, a longtime New Haven resident, entered eternal rest Feb. 14, 2017.
She was born to the late Solomon Armstrong and Adaline Stewart Armstrong on July 17, 1941, in the Choppee section of Georgetown, S.C.
Hazel was the beloved friend and former wife of James Glasper. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephan A. Glasper.
She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Karynthia (Annette) Phillips of Tennessee, James Glasper, Blondina Glasper, Demetrius Glasper, Stephanie Glasper, Thia Glasper, and Terrance Glasper. Hazel’s legacy continues through a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, adopted and spiritually birthed children.
A celebration of her life will be held Feb. 21, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul U.A.M.E Church, 150 Dwight St, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Services by Howard K.
