Jeannell Irving, 65, of New Haven, passed away Jan. 15, 2019.
She was born in New Haven to the late Eugene and Laura Chatman Irving on Sept. 7, 1953. Jeannell attended Wilbur Cross High School. She loved to dress well, especially with her extravagant hat collection and shoes to match.
She also was a long time member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in New Haven. Jeannell leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Sheila Irving-Orr; grandson, Ori Justice Kellman (Man-Man); brothers, Eugene Irving and Michael Irving of Michigan. She was predeceased by her son Robert Orr Jr. and love of her life Robert Orr.
A celebration of her life will take place Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
