John W. Carrington, 58 of New Haven, CT departed this life March 31, 2010. John was born January 1, 1952 in Richmond, VA to the late John M. and Mary (Harris) Carrington. After 31 years, John retired from the City of New Haven as the Assistant Superintendent of Streets in December 2009. He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Carolyn Charles Carrington of New Haven; daughters, Arlene Carrington of New Haven and Bridget Alexander (Dwight) of VA; son, Troy Charles (Tasha) of New Haven; brothers, Steven Carrington (Joanne) of NY, George (Rico), Andrew, Larry (Donna), Henry (Sandra) Carrington all of VA; sisters, Mary Battle (Fred Lee), Judy Ward, Joanne Battle (Leon) all of VA; aunts, Gladys Crenshaw of VA and Mary Harris of New Haven; 6 grandchildren and a host relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will take place Monday April 5, 2010 at 11 AM at Community Baptist Church 143 Shelton Ave, New Haven, CT. Friends may call Monday at the church from 9 – 11:00 AM.
