John Lee Spell, 51 of New Haven, CT passed peacefully at his home on August 5, 2011 after a long illness. Born to the late Emma Paige and Jimmy Howard in Bethel, NC on December 12, 1959. He leaves to cherish his memory; sons, John and Todd Ratchford; fiancé, Pearl Murphy; stepchildren Tennille and Terrance Murphy; sisters, Mary Bunns, Anne Maye, Joyce Thomas, Diane Howard of NC, Mary Paige, and Barbara Paige of CT; brothers, Jimmy Howard, Walter Cherry of NC, Walter Spell, and Milton Paige of CT; 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Donnell Paige. A celebration of his life will take place on Monday August 15, 2011 at 11AM at Christian Love Center, 154 Derby Avenue, New Haven, CT 06511 with calling hours from 10 – 11AM. Interment is private.
