Josue Vega, 64, of New Haven, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. He was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico to Jose Vega and Felipa Santiago on November 5, 1952. He was employed as a machine operator with Brushfoil LLC. He was also a faithful member at Star of Jacob Christian Church where he was a Royal Ranger Leader and Deacon. He also served as a church bus driver, and many other roles.
Josue leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Milagros Vega; sons, Josue (Sylvia) Vega, Jr., Jaime (Erica) Vega, and Miguel Vega; brother, Jose Vega, sisters, Mercedes Vega and Amelia Vega; grandchildren, Josue, III, Olivia, Jeremiah, Samantha, Jaime, and Lucas; and a host of relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Star of Jacob Christian Church, 506 Howard Ave, New Haven, CT 06519.
A celebration of his life took place Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the church. Friends may call Monday at the church from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
