Larry A. Pinkard, 66, born on October 7, 1948 in Chattanooga, TN to the late James E. Pinkard and Bessie (Sorrells) Pinkard, passed away December 23, 2014.
He worked for some time as an electrician for Northeast Utilities. He was also an avid listener of gospel. He leaves to cherish his memory loving wife Madeline Pinkard, daughters Patricia Rice of North Carolina, Deneen A. Dixon of Washington, Rosalind Jackson of Hamden, Lisa Clark of New Haven, Margueritte Byrd of Windsor; brothers Hoyt Sorrells of North Haven, Glenn Pinkard of Missouri, Dwayne Pinkard of Hamden, Brian Pinkard of Virginia; sister Janice Pinkard of New Haven; 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brother Timothy Pinkard and sister Ivy Russell. A celebration of his life will take place Thursday, Jan. 2, 2015 at 11AM at Holy Trinity COGIC; 135 Winthrop Ave., New Haven, CT 06519 with visitation at the church from 10 – 11AM.
