Leila Mae Morton, 69, of New Haven, passed away May 28. She was born to the late Herbert and Pinkie Lee Martin on Oct. 17, 1941.
She leaves to cherish her memory: son Timothy (Crystal) Morton, of New Haven; daughters Wanda (Bobby) Langley, of West Haven, and Cassandra D. Morton, of New Haven; brothers Herbert (Essie) Martin Jr., of Selma, Ala., Kaysar (Nancy) Martin, of New Haven, Clifford (Deborah) Martin of San Antonio, Tex., and Gregory Martin, of Atlanta; sisters Ruby Martin, of Selma, Marianne Richardson, of Detroit, Lucille (Clark) Mixon, of Columbus, Miss., Carolyn (John) Jones, of Concord, N.C., and Patricia Morrow of Baltimore; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
A celebration of her life took place June 6.
