Leroy Hatfield, 91, born August, 1923 to the late James Dukes and Annie Hatfield Dukes, passed away December 12, 2014.
He retired from Milford School Systems in 1992 where he worked as a school teacher. Some hobbies he enjoyed were cabinet making, macramé, gardening, and fishing; he also loved to travel.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife of 60 years Eunice (Forbes) Hatfield of West Haven; daughter Royce (Daryl) Hatfield-Gardner of New Haven; grandchildren Remy and Darius; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by brother Joseph Hatfield and sisters Clara Bell Dukes-Byrd, Marylena Powell and Ernestine Dukes.
A celebration of his life will take place Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 9AM at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church; 782 Orchard St., New Haven, CT 06511 with visitation at the church from 8 – 9AM.
