Lillian P. Watson, 65, of New Haven, departed this life Feb. 10.
Born in Newport News, Va., on April 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lillie Watson.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at Bank of America as a Proof Department Manager for over 30 years. Upon retiring her favorite pastime, which brought her great joy, was cashiering at Target part-time.
Ms. Watson was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Church Clerk for many years.
She is survived by daughters Antoinette Jones Perry (Brett) and Michelle Jones; sisters Ella Deloise Jones and Nancy Elizabeth Alberez; grandchildren Rashard A. Jones and Hugh M. Edwards III; a great granddaughter (the joy of her life), Beyonce M. Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ms. Watson’s life and legacy will be held Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Lawrence St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K.
