Louvernia C. Roundtree, 76, of New Haven, departed this life February 15, 2010. She was the wife of Charlie Roundtree.
Born in Cairo, GA, July 13, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Lela Brown Corker.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at the V.A. Medical Center in West Haven.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory, a sister, Elizabeth Corker Rowland; a goddaughter, Brenda Campbell (David); and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
A celebration of Mrs. Roundtree’s life will be held Monday, February 22, 2010, at 11:00 AM at St .Matthew’s UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
