Lucille M. Liburd, 84, wife of the late Joshua Liburd passed away peacefully on Thursday at her home.
She was born to the late George and Maggie (Laidler) Moreland in Jacksonville, Fla on Sept. 6, 1932. Lucille enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and other handicrafts.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memories daughters Carolyn (Patterson) Riley, Inshirah Mahal, Mary Lou Melton, sons Quinton Geter and Brion Geter, step-daughters Deborah Liburd and Denise Liburd, sister Joan Anderson, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, beloved nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Luellen Williamson and brother George Moreland.
A celebration of her life will take place Tuesday at noon at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 111 Whalley Ave. New Haven, CT with a calling hour from 11 a.m. to noon. Interment will be at Hamden Plains Cemetery. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services 1287 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511.
