Margaret Williams Carr, 77, of New Haven, departed this life August 6, 2013.
Born in Baton Rouge, LA, November 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elsie Williams.
She is survived by a son, Eric Carr (Melody); daughters, Regina Peters, Donna Baxter, Wanda Carr and Bernice Herring (Robert); 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; 4 brothers; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by 2 sisters.
A celebration of Ms. Carr’s life and legacy will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 9:00 A.M. at Mt. Gideon Faith Fellowship Church, 363 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00 – 9:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
