Martha A. Ligon, 78 of New Haven, CT passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011.
Wife of Ben Ligon, married 47 years and born in Spotsylvania, VA on November 5, 1932 to the late Harrison Beasley and Elizabeth Pratt. Martha retired from Seton Name Plate in 1998. Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory; son, Michael “Jack” Beasley of VA; daughter, Lisa (Darnell) Manuel of Hamden, CT; brother, Albert Beasley of VA; sisters, Ella Childs of Washington, DC, Fannie and Burnell Woodward and Adell Southerland all of VA; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Friends may call at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT, Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 9 – 10AM. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30AM for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, 342 Ellsworth Ave, New Haven, CT. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
