Mary McLean, 70

Mary McLean, age 70, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

She was born in HighPoint NC, on February 15, 1945 and raised in Maxton NC, where she graduated from RB Dean High School in 1964. She relocated to New Haven CT with her husband, Thomas McLean Jr. and their two children in 1969. She worked for Yale New Haven Hospital for 41 years, as their lead baker and served as an active member of SEIU 1199 union until her retirement in 2012.

Mary is survived by her three children, Anthony McLean, Angela Reid (Earnest) and Anita McLean (Cedric); her grandchildren Anthony, Briana, Anthony Jr., Gerod, Antwone, Angela, Kayla, Tyshawn and Kamiyah and her great-granddaughter Lilyanna. She also leaves behind her siblings, James (Nancy) Eleby, Gary (Fannie) Eleby, Lee (Diane) Eleby, Beatrice Eleby, Barbara Hunter and Vera Davis. She was predeceased by her siblings, Archie Eleby, Nancy Eleby, Johnny Eleby, her mother Maggie Baker Eleby and her Aunt, who raised her, Margaret Cox, as well as her husband Thomas McLean Jr.

Viewing will take place on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 3 — 5pm, at Howard K. Hill Funeral Home, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. Funeral Services and burial will occur in NC, on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at The Jesus Loves You Outreach Ministry Incorporated Church, 308 Hubert McLean Avenue, Red Springs NC.
