Trachten, 87, of 15401 Strathearn, Delray Beach, Fl., formerly of New Haven, Ct., devoted husband to Sylvia “Shirley”(Romm) Trachten for more than 61 years, died at Hospice of Palm Beach County on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Born in New Haven, June 4, 1925, he was the son of the late Philip & Bessie (Katz) Trachten. Beloved Father of Gary(Evelyn) Trachten, Vicki(Rob) Schwartz, Roberta Zeve, David(Stacey) Trachten. Dear Brother of Gertrude Cohen of Delray Beach, Fl and the late Anne Gross. Cherished Grandfather of Dana, Margo, Blake & Sydney Zeve, Rebecca, Adam, & Simon Schwartz, Sofie & Josef Trachten, Samantha, Perry, & Max Trachten.
Funeral Services at The Westville Synagogue, 74 West Prospect St.,New Haven THURSDAY afternoon(TODAY) at 1:30 o’clock with Interment Services to follow at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Jewell St.,New Haven.
