Pattie Kirk, 72

Pattie Freeman Kirk was born on March 29, 1939 in New London, North Carolina to William Sr. & Pansy Freeman. She loved and was married for many years to Richard Kirk. This union birthed two children whom she loved and adored, Richard (Barry) & Stacey. Pattie attended Public Schools in Albemarle, North Carolina. Pattie worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company for many years, retiring from the company in 1999. She also graduated from barbering school and worked with her brother at Freeman’s Barber Shop. In addition to her husband, Richard Kirk and her daughter Stacey Lewis, she leaves to cherish and hold dear her memory, her sisters, Beulah Atkins (Arnold), of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Robinson (Gary) of Meriden, CT and Claire Watkins (Michael) of New London, NC. Especially close to her heart were her grandchildren, Richard Jr., Aaron, ShaRonda, & Ashley Kirk ; Bianca McClure & Jordan Lewis, and her great- grandchild, Khalil. She also leaves her loving aunts & uncles, Elizabeth Little of New Haven, CT., Priscilla Rogers (Ronald) of Hamden, CT ; Carlie Lee & Melvin (Rubye) Patton of NC., her Brother in law, Roger Kirk (Delores) of Maryland and sister in law, Eursel Freeman of Hamden, CT.; her nieces & nephews and a host of family who loved, her will also remember her fondly, and also Keisha Freeman, her god-daughter. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son and daughter in law, Richard (Barry) & Yvonne Kirk ; her sister, Freddie J. Freeman & her brother, William E. Freeman. A celebration of her life will take place on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11AM at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church 425 Newhall Street, Hamden, CT 06517.
