Deacon Preston Earl Thigpen, 79, of New Haven, CT, departed this life on July 10, 2012.
He was born in Greenville, North Carolina, on October 22, 1932, to the late Flossie Carmen and Amos Thigpen. He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Catherine Gibbs Thigpen; sons, Gregory, Kevin, and Andree Thigpen; daughters, Renita Witfield, Karen Thigpen, and Brenda (James) Ward; brother, William Thigpen; sisters, Betty Moore and Mattie Sims; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. A celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11AM at Church of God of Prophecy, 155 Grand Ave, New Haven, CT 06511 with calling hours from 9 – 11AM.
