Ralph A. Jenkins, 77, of New Haven, passed away June 12. He was born to the late Carl Jenkins and Mae Lewis in New Haven on July 22, 1933.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife Alberta Jenkins; children Leroy, Lorena, Melissa, Delancey and Alpha Jenkins; stepchildren Rodney McCoy, Lori Wilson and Felicia Edwards; sisters Doris Jenkins and Blanche Winston; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was predeceased by two sons, Ralph Jenkins and Keith Hall; three brothers, Carl, Leroy, and Robert Jenkins; and sister Pauline Young.
A celebration of his life, with military honors, will take place on Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church of God In Christ, 139 Winthrop Ave., New Haven. There will be an Elk ceremony during the service. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment is private.
