Ray Roberson, 54

Ray Anthony Roberson, nicknamed Bobo,” transitioned from this world July 2015. He was born November 27, 1960 in New Haven to the former Janie Nesmith & the late Raymond Roberson.

He attended Winchester Community, Troupe Middle and Wilbur Cross High. During his adolescent years he was introduced to H.A.P.A.L. under the mentorship of Tom Morrissey where he played on the Baseball team with neighborhood youth.

By virtue of the CETA program in the late 1970s Bobo took an apprentice class which led to his love of art. Naturally gifted he could capture any human image or still on canvas.

He worked briefly at Yale University Dining Hall but was subsequently self-employed. His love of art compelled him to sketch portraits requested by family, friends and the community at large. Secondary to his artistry he meticulously painted interior homes to supplement his income.
