Robert Hayward, 75 of New Haven departed this life March 2, 2010. He was born in Georgetown, SC to the late Hammond Hayward and Phyllis Washington Hayward. He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Hattie Hayward of West Haven; sons, Johnny Hayward of West Haven, Danny and Richard Hayward, both of New Haven; daughters, Cynthia Hayward-McClendon (Marvin) of New Haven, Celeste Hayward (Clarence Collins) of Hamden; Cynthia Frazier of New Haven; brothers, David Hayward (Mary) of Hamden; sisters, Olivia Neal (Charles) of New Haven, Gloria Vaughn (John) of Hamden, Mary E. Brown (Willie) of Brooklyn, NY, Sarah Wearing (Jeremiah) of New Haven, Barbara Vought of Myrtle Beach, SC; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by son, Robert Hayward, Jr; brothers, Hammond Hayward, Jr., Prince Hayward; sisters, Beatrice Dease, Corine Dease, Lillian Greggs.
