Rosetta Leonia Brown

Rosetta Leonia Brown, 94, of New Haven, departed this life October 21, 2010. She was the widow of Ulysses Brown.
Born in Norfolk, VA, August 2, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Bartlett and Mary Ella Wilson.
She was employed for numerous years by Frank W. Stevenson Co. as an Operator and Seamstress.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a special niece, Linda Barnes of West Haven; her goddaughter, Mary Ella Smith (Tommy) of Mt. Vernon, NY; a special nephew, Anthony Barnes of Clinton, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ella M. Byrd-Herring.
A celebration of Mrs. Brown’s life will be held Monday, October 25, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Online guestbook available at www.curvinkcouncil.com
