Ruby Richardson, 85, of New Haven, passed away Jan.12, 2018.
She was born in Camden, S.C. to the late Clyburn and Susan Coughman Bracey on Aug. 2, 1932. She retired as a teacher from Gateway Community College in the childcare center and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Roderick (Sandra) Richardson and E. Bernard Richardson; daughter, Beverly Richardson; brother, George (Jacqueline) Bracey; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Edward Richardson; brother, Clyde Bracey; and sisters, Mary Ella Richardson, Emma Josey, Susan Bracey, Thomasina Bracey Smith.
A celebration of her life will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at Church on the Rock, 95 Hamilton St, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K.
