Samuel Davidson 80, of Derby Ave. in New Haven, passed away on July 5, 2013, at CT Hospice in Branford, CT.
He was born on May 23, 1933 in Westmoreland, Jamaica, to the late, Jonathan Davidson and Letitia Clayton. Samuel was a loving and devoted husband to Laurel (Fowlin) Davidson for 30 years. Besides his loving wife, Laurel, he leaves to cherish his memory, son, Patrick Davidson of New Haven, step-son, Mark Baker of VA.; brothers, Errol (Louise) Davidson of England; sister, Elsa Davidson of Silver Spring, MD. 2 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. A celebration of his life will take place Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11:00AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St. New Haven, CT. with calling hours, Friday, from 9 – 11AM at the church. Interment will be held at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven, CT. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Goodwyn Levine Adult Day Health Center. Services by Howard K.
