Shirley Jean Conyers Ford passed away unexpectedly on August 3. She was born on January 13, 1964 in Manning, South Carolina to Frances Witherspoon Conyers and the late Willie Albert Conyers. She moved to New Haven, CT in 1973. She attended Richard C. Lee High School in New Haven, CT, and she worked for Yale University for 29 years. She leaves behind to cherish a loving husband, Bernie Ford, 3 children, Janae McMillian, Alessia McMillian, and Natalia Ford; step daughter Senna Ford; God-daughter Natasha Vega, and her mother Frances Conyers; She was predeceased by her father, Willie Albert Conyers; She also leaves behind to cherish, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, her mother-in-law, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved her immensely. A celebration of her life will take place, Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, CT 06511 with a calling hour from 10 – 11:00 AM.
