Sim Gibbs, Jr., 74 of New Haven passed away on March 19, 2016.
He was born on February 10, 1942 to the late Sim and Bessie Gibbs, Sr., in Sladeville, NC. He had been married to Evelyn Gibbs for 51 years. Besides his wife he leaves to cherish his memory two sons; Vincent Walton of New Haven, Sim (Alysia) Gibbs of Hamden, four daughters; Sheila Walton and Theresa Gibbs both of New Haven, Irene Gibbs of NC and Jennifer (Joseph) Anderson of Meriden, one brother William (Catherine) Gibbs, five sisters; Arlease Edwards, Arneta Chesson, Mary (David) Coburn, Evine (Archie) Brunson all of New Haven, and Bessie (Jimmie) Jefferson of Northford, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He was predeceased by three brothers Dennis, Ernest, and Carlisle Gibbs and three sisters Pearline Cannon, Lula Mae Stanley, and Margaret Davis. A celebration of his life will take place on Monday March 28, 2016 at 11am at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church with a calling hour from 10- 11 am. Services by Howard K.
